Joining an agency with an invite code

If you work for an agency — a yayasan, a cleaning company, a crew — they can add you to their team on Solvo so they can send you jobs. This page explains how that works, and what it does and doesn't give them.

How it works

  1. Install Solvo and sign up as yourself, with your own phone number. Do this first, before anything else.
  2. Ask the agency for their invite code. It's 20 characters. They find it in their agency dashboard.
  3. In the app, open your profile and choose Join an agency.
  4. Type the code. Case doesn't matter, and spaces or dashes are ignored — a code read out over the phone still works.
  5. Check the name. Before you agree to anything, the app shows you which agency the code belongs to and how many people already work there. Read it.
  6. Confirm. You're in. The agency owner gets a notification that you joined.

Why you have to do this yourself

Because it's your account.

There used to be a version where the agency typed your phone number and Solvo created an account for you. That was wrong, and we removed it. It meant a person could install Solvo for the first time, enter their own number, and find themselves already inside an agency they'd never heard of — unable to even register as an ordinary customer, because their number was taken.

Now nothing happens to your account without you tapping the button. An agency can hand out a code; only you can use it.

What joining does and doesn't do

It does:

  • Let the agency assign you to jobs they've won.
  • Show your name and photo to the client of a job you're sent on.
  • Add a worker mode to your app, where you see your assigned tasks.

It doesn't:

  • Give the agency access to your money, your bank details or your wallet.
  • Let the agency see your private chats or your personal orders.
  • Lock you in. See below.

If the code doesn't work

The most likely reason is that it was rotated. An agency owner can revoke their code at any time and get a new one — for example after someone leaves. An old code stops working immediately and simply won't be found. Ask them for the current one.

If the preview shows an agency you don't recognise, stop. Don't confirm. Codes get forwarded and mistyped; the preview exists exactly so you can catch that before you're a member.

Leaving

You can leave from your profile at any time, in one tap. You don't need the agency's permission.

Two things to know:

  • You can't leave in the middle of an active assigned job. Finish it or have the job cancelled first.
  • If you own the agency, you can't leave it — an agency without an owner has nobody to pay out to.

The agency owner can also remove you. When that happens you stop being a worker immediately, and their invite code is rotated automatically at the same moment.

If the agency is treating you badly

Withheld wages, confiscated documents, harassment — report it. In the app, support has a category for reporting your own agency, and it goes straight to a person at Solvo, not to a bot, and not to your agency. See Worker safety.
