Inside the Bali closed beta: what it is teaching us

We are running a closed, invite-only beta in Bali — across Canggu, Ubud, and Seminyak — onboarding our first KTP-verified masters and a small group of households before we open to the public. Here is what is surprising us so far.

Households do not talk about the rating. They talk about the PIN. The single most-quoted moment in our interviews is: "the PIN made me feel like I was actually in control for the first time." We are doubling down on the PIN as the primary trust signal in the next release.

Masters care about getting paid fast. The biggest churn risk is not pricing or reviews — it is waiting for money. We are moving payouts to same-day for verified masters.

Disputes are almost always communication problems, not bad work. Most get resolved by simply getting both sides on a call. We are building a lightweight in-app chat for v1 to head this off.
