How pricing works on Solvo
You decide the price. Two modes — Range (default) and Fixed.
Range mode (default)
You set a minimum and a maximum for the job. Masters can bid any price inside that window. You pick whichever bid you like — cheapest, fastest, or highest-rated. Your call.
Example: AC repair, you set Rp 150k–Rp 300k. Five masters bid: Rp 180k, Rp 200k, Rp 220k, Rp 250k, Rp 280k. You pick Rp 200k from the master with 4.9 stars.
Why Range:
- Pros compete on price and quality. The cheapest isn't always the best — but Range lets you weigh both.
- No "lowballing" surprises — bids must stay inside your bounds.
- Maximum protection: the most you'll ever pay is the max you set.
Fixed mode
You set one target price. Masters can bid your target ±10% (with explanation if they go higher). Use Fixed when you've already done the research and know what's fair.
Example: Standard 2-bedroom cleaning in Bali, you know it costs around Rp 200k. Set Fixed at Rp 200k → masters bid Rp 180k–Rp 220k. Pick the one you like.
What goes into the price
- Master's quote = labor + travel + parts (parts itemized in chat or scope-creep flow)
- App fee = 0% to you. Masters pay 10% to Solvo. The price you see is what you pay.
- No hidden charges. No "service fee." No "surge pricing."
Scope creep — what if the job is bigger than expected?
Sometimes the master arrives, looks at the AC, and discovers the compressor is dead — not just refrigerant. That's scope creep.
The master sends you a revised quote in chat. You approve or reject:
- Approve: new price added to escrow. Master continues.
- Reject: master stops, you only pay for time spent (or zero if nothing was done). Order closes.
You're never surprised by a bigger bill at the end.
What if I think I overpaid?
If the work is done and you're unhappy with quality OR price, don't tap "Complete" — open a dispute instead. Solvo's mediator reviews chat, photos, and reviews and decides within 24 hours.
Common questions
Can the master charge cash on top? No. Asking you to pay cash outside the app violates Solvo's rules. Report it via the in-app chat — the message is auto-flagged.
What if I want to tip? Tipping is optional. You can tip via the app (goes 100% to the master, 0% to Solvo) or directly после job done. Solvo doesn't take a cut from tips.
Why escrow if I trust my master? Even if you trust them, they don't know that yet. Escrow lets new masters take your job confidently — they know they'll get paid. More masters bidding = better prices for you.
