Why Solvo trusts the trustless

May 1, 20265 min read

Indonesia has one of the largest home services markets in Southeast Asia, but it runs almost entirely on word-of-mouth and unverifiable WhatsApp groups. We watched friends in Bali and Jakarta lose Rp 500k to no-show plumbers, get charged twice for the same AC fix, and quietly accept that nothing could be done.

Solvo is a bet that the answer is not louder marketing or more reviews. The answer is structure: KTP-verified masters, escrow-held payments, a 4-digit PIN that gates job completion, and a transparent dispute flow you can read in plain language.

We call it the trustless trust layer. You do not need to trust the master, and the master does not need to trust you. Both sides trust the system — and the system is auditable, not aspirational.

This is the first post in a series where we show our work: how escrow really moves money, what happens when a dispute opens, why we picked a PIN over a star rating as the primary trust signal. We will not promise this is easy. We will promise it is honest.

If that resonates, pre-register for launch. We open Bali first, then Jakarta, then the rest of the country.
