How escrow works in plain language

Apr 28, 20266 min read

When you pay for a job on Solvo, your money does not go to the master. It goes to a bonded escrow account managed by our PT and held with Midtrans. The master sees that the job is funded but cannot touch the money until you confirm completion.

When the master arrives, you share a 4-digit PIN. That PIN is the gate. Without it, the master cannot mark the job started, and they cannot get paid. This stops the most common WhatsApp scam — a master who claims to have come, charges, and then disappears.

After the work is done, you have 24 hours to either confirm or open a dispute. Confirm releases the funds; the master gets paid same-day to their linked bank account. Dispute pauses the release and triggers a review by our team within 48 hours.

We deliberately keep this flow simple. The whole point of escrow is that you do not have to think about it.
